Technology Standards

As you prepare to join Sault College, one of the most important steps is ensuring you have the right technology for your program.

We support a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) approach. Having your own personal laptop that meets your program's requirements means you're ready to learn anywhere     â€”   the classroom, at home, or on the go.

The guide outlines the device specifications required for your program, as well as devices to avoid, helpful tips,  how to access our Dell student discount, and  technology resources available to you as a Sault College student.

Helpful Tips

  • Choose a device that meets or exceeds the minimum specifications for your program
  • Ensure your device has adequate battery life to get through your school day
  • We recommend purchasing an extended warranty for your laptop, so that you are covered for the length of your program. Repairs and replacements remain your responsibility
